It all started when…

A few years back, I contributed a mural for o The Manitoba Museum’s Nonsuch Gallery Renewal Project. The mural wraps the background of an evocative exhibit featuring an excerpt of oral history retold by renown Omushkego (Swampy Cree) storyteller and elder, Louis Bird.

Using the same visual language, I was contacted again in 202o by AldrichPears Associates to bring the same visual language to some exhibits in the renewed Prairie Gallery, highlighting the story of Manitoba’s endangered species and historical injustices towards Indigenous peoples. In addition to a mural highlighting the birds found at Whitewater Lake. I also completed a series of season views of the prairie for a massive AV mural that forms a contextual backdrop to the entire gallery.

The Manitoba Museum’s renewed Prairie Gallery launched in May 2021.
